Cameron Steps Down at Neutral Zone

Longtime Director of NZ Women’s Hockey, Jess Cameron, has stepped down from her position to pursue other opportunities. Jess has agreed to stay on for a transition period to help the company hire a replacement.

Jess started the women’s hockey division in 2016 after serving as an intern with the company while attending Castleton University; where she was an All-American goaltender her senior year. She recruited a scouting staff across North America and grew it to become the most trusted leader in the women’s hockey scouting in the industry.

“My time at Neutral Zone has been instrumental in my professional growth and I’m grateful for the opportunity,” said Jess Cameron. “I saw a critical need in the women’s hockey landscape: a platform to showcase athletes’ accomplishments and provide expert evaluations. Neutral Zone has been able to address that need and grow beyond it. I’m proud of its impact and excited to pursue new opportunities that continue to elevate women’s hockey.”

Beyond her work at Neutral Zone, Jess’s passion for hockey extends to her coaching roles. Her expertise has been valuable for both Team PEI at the 2023 Canada Winter Games and Team Atlantic at the 2023 Hockey Canada U18 Nationals and the upcoming 2024 tournament.

“We are very proud of what Jess was able to accomplish at Neutral Zone,” said Brendan Collins, Director of Scouting. “Jess’s contributions since joining us in 2016 have been remarkable having built the business from scratch right out of college.  This off-season, we’re excited to leverage her insights as we embark on a strategic rebuild of our website, scouting staff, and leadership team.  We’re confident these changes will position us for significant growth in the future.”

Neutral Zone Womens will immediately begin a national search for a new Director of Women’s Scouting as well as regional scouting positions. If interested please contact Brendan Collins at
