Several WHL Trades Ahead of WHL Bantam Draft

Ahead of the WHL Bantam Draft scheduled for Wednesday, there were a flurry of trades in the WHL on Monday.

The Victoria Royals acquired defenseman Jacson Alexander from the Edmonton Oil Kings along with 2020 3rd and 7th round picks in exchange for center Kaid Oliver, a 2020 4th round pick and a 2023 conditional 4th round pick.

Alexander appeared in 13 games for the Oil Kings this season, notching one assist. Oliver is an Arizona native who had 22 goals and 25 assists in 51 games for the Royals this season.

The Kelowna Rockets acquired David Kope from the Oil Kings in exchange for a 2023 4th round pick. The Vancouver Giants also acquired Adam Hall in exchange for a 2022 conditional 7th round pick from the Lethbridge Hurricanes.
