Neutral Zone Support for Allie’s Paddle

Neutral Zone is proud to support the Allie’s Paddle campaign, which is working to raise money for SCIboston.

Allie Skelley will be paddle boarding more than 40 miles around Aquidneck Island on  August 22nd, 2023 to raise money for SCIboston. The campaign is named Allie’s  Paddle. SCIboston will use 100% of the funds raised to provide durable medical equipment and vehicle modification grants to individuals in MA, RI, NH, VT, and ME who are living with a spinal cord injury (SCI) to help with their independence and quality of life. Please consider making a donation below.

Allie plans to leave Fort Adams in Newport early in the morning of August 22nd and  hopes to complete the 40-plus mile paddle in the evening, landing in Newport,  where he will be greeted by friends, family, and members of SCIboston.

Allie has done several endurance events to support the Travis Roy Foundation and the spinal cord injury community in the past. He has raised over $100,000 for the Travis Roy Foundation and his goal is to raise $50,000 for Allie’s Paddle campaign to benefit SCIboston’s efforts to provide quality-of-life grants. Allie is a graduate of St. Lawrence University, where he played Division I hockey and sustained a spinal cord injury. Fortunately, he recovered. He is the Senior Associate Director of Admissions and Head Boys Varsity Hockey coach at St George’s School in Middletown and lives in Portsmouth RI with his wife and three children. When asked why he takes on these challenging events, Allie said, “I do this for those who were not as fortunate as me”
